Lazio coach Davide Ballardini has requested for reinforcements after Lazio's 1-0 defeat to Inter Milan.
The defeat left the Biancocelesti only three points clear of the relegation zone.
"We played a good game in a very difficult arena. Lazio deserve the points that they have right now," Ballardini said according to football-italia.net. "There are some problems at the moment and we need to overcome those difficulties together.
"I spoke with President Lotito after the game and told him what is needed from the transfer market. Lazio is not the same team with Pandev's absence. His ability to find open men, and his scoring prowess is obviously sorely missed." His squad has been reduced all season with Goran Pandev and Cristian Ledesma frozen out amid a contract dispute.
Their absence made Lazio the least prolific side in Serie A on a par with Livorno, having netted just 10 times in 17 matches. There are strong reports that a deal has already been struck with FC Moscow for striker Maxi Lopez.
"The signing of Maxi Lopez is not official," insisted Ballardini.
