World welcomes New Year 2010

People throughout the globe sent off 2009 and welcomed the New Year 2010 at squares, resorts, cafes, restaurants, pubs or with their families late Thursday.

Inhabitants of the Pacific Ocean islands Kiribati and Tonga, as well as the Far East countries were the first to welcome 2010, whereas citizens of the US west coast and Alaska the last several hours later.

The most joyful evening was celebrated at Skopje square "Macedonia", as well as in other cities throughout Macedonia.

However, not all people throughout the globe celebrate the year 2010. Jews greet the year 5771, Chinese - 4708, Hindu - 2067 and Muslims - 1432.
