The Macedonian president at a press conference today emphasized the role Macedonian media plays in the name dispute with Greece as well as the relations between Macedonia and Bulgaria. On a question by A1 journalist whether Macedonian journalists were patriots or traitors, Ivanov answered that he doesn't classify journalists, however, there was no question a good portion of the media plays into the hands of Bulgaria and specifically Greece. Though refusing to elaborate much, the president may have been alluding to the fact that a group of media outlets places false stories of tensions between Skopje and Sofia regarding monuments from WW1, or the fact that Greece uses quotes from Macedonian journalists as their main 'argument' in the name dispute.
