The number 1 news headline across Russia today was the return of small Russian boy after it was adopted by a 26 years old American lady from Tennessee. Registered nurse Tory Ann Hansen who already has a biological son, adopted a little Russian boy last year, however after few months she decided she didn't like it anymore and put it on a plane back to Moscow. Mrs Hansen's reasoning was that the boy appeared angry and she couldn't handle him. Mrs Hansen stuck a note on the boy's back "To Whom It May Concern" and put him on a 10 hour flight to Moscow, alone. The Russian Commissionaire for the protection of children Pavel Astakov was fuming during a press conference. "You don't throw a kid on a plane like a sack of potatoes because you decided not to like him anymore, this is not merchandise" said Mr. Astakov. The Russian agency did not allow the US Consul to see the child, explaining there was no need for further 'American involvement'. Mr. Astakov also said after this incident, Americans will not be able to adopt Russian children for extended period of time.
