Macedonia will Summon Fast Talking Samaras as Witness
Saturday, 29 January 2011

Andonis Samaras was a Minister of Culture in the previous Greek Government, while today heads NEA Demokratia as the main opposition party.

Unofficially, the Macedonian Government has tapes of Greece's former PM Karamanlis boasting in front of his constituents how his country achieved great success in Bucharest by placing a veto on Macedonia's admission to NATO. Similar statement was issued by Dora Bakoyannis.

The latest in the 'veto department' came from NEA Demokratia's boss Andonis Samaras who also stated at a Parliament meeting that Greece has already vetoed Macedonia's accession to NATO and will continue to do so until the country changes its name. This prompted Greece's current FM Droutsas to ask Samaras to stop using the word 'veto' because of the pending lawsuit at the Hague.

Skopje is suing Athens for breaking the 1995 Interim Agreement in which Athens is prohibited from preventing its northern neighbor to enter an international organization under the current provisional UN name.
