Macedonia, Greece, EU, Albanians... PDF Print E-mail

Alexander MakedonskiWe have witnessed several interesting things in Macedonia. But first, a note on Greece. I am glad Greece banned the Macedonian president from visiting Athens, because the Macedonians thought "Athens can not be that crazy", or can they?

The reasons were because Crvenkovski planned to travel with Macedonian Airlines (only Macedonian Airline), and later couldn't even use his own plane because it had Macedonian Insignia on the tail and wings. To make matters worse, this information was conveyed to Crvenkovski not by Karolos Papoulias, rather by the semi-diplomatic Greek Office in Skopje which was opened by Richard Holbrooke in 1995 to 'normalize' relations. Should I mention the event in Athens was not organized by Greece, rather by the UN (UNESCO).

What were some of the early incidents caused by Greek hysteria, insanity, whatever you'd like to call it:

- Greek couple from Athens was not allowed to adopt a Macedonian child because the child came from a country Greece 'doesn't recognize'. Now, you have to have serious issues, to not let childless Greek couple get a child because it came from Macedonia. I can see the danger, this kid could grow up one day and say "I am Macedonian", in Greece from all places.

- Macedonian Airlines plane upon landing in Crete was stopped from taking off and repainted by Greek Authorities, who didn't like the red color and the yellow sun, and of course the name of the company, Macedonian Airlines. I wish this was a joke, but it is well documented.

Attacks on Macedonian Tourists, ripping their MK insignia, painting cars, attacking truckers, just few among many other incidents, all initiated by Athens.

With these moves, Greece once again showed it is a sad, sad country, the black hole of Europe. Their behavior is at the level of a mental patient with no help available. Truly sad.

The Macedonian Government is expected to send a strong démarche to Athens in the incoming days for all the incidents.

PS: Have Greeks ever heard of Alexander Makedonski? Get used to it.

Albanians.

This was strange. The international factor, for the first time, pointed their finger to the Albanians as destabilizing a region, a village, a street... For the first time EU said the word “Albanians” in a negative context! I for one expected lightning to strike in Brussels.

Normally, the EU had always been mute on Albanians, always!

However, on this elections, I imagine they had to say something because it was too obvious who was creating  the problems.

Certain EU Ambassadors in Skopje acknowledged Albanians caused the incidents, however, staying true to their previous comments, in the end said the Macedonian Government is to blame! Sure, why not.

In 99% of the Elections it was more than peaceful, in fact, in 99% of the country, the monitors, local and foreign did not note one incident. There were none, as if there were no elections.

However, in several Albanian villages, local Albanian fractions fought each other.

This begs the very obvious question. Were these election incidents staged by the Albanians for the purpose to make Macedonia look “bad” and “not ready” for EU Integration?

I am going to have to say a big “YES” on this. Both Albanian parties knew and were warned many times by the EU as well as PM Nikola Gruevski not to do anything foolish, yet they did just the opposite and created as many problems as they possibly could.

It's no secret Albanians would rather be integrated in the EU via joining Kosovo and Albania. It is their long dream to unite parts of Montenegro, Macedonia, Greece, Serbia into Albania, Kosovo is already there.

We are still allowing people from Kosovo who aren't Macedonian citizens to vote in Macedonian Elections, this is a well known fact. Serbs allow it too, depending which party needs votes.

How does a village with 250 citizens cast 400 votes when only about 150 would be eligible to cast votes? They do have children under 18 don't they? This happens on every elections.

On this elections there were thousands of Kosovars who casted votes. The EU knows this, Macedonian Government knows this. Why are they keeping this quiet ?

Maybe has to do something with percentages...

Is there anyone brave enough who knows Math?

Even though thousands of Albanian votes were fraudulent (1 person voted for 5) and having a very high percentage of voter turnout in ethnic Albanian villages, they still could not reach 18% of the total vote. Bear in mind the fraud. Where are the 25% of Albanian population that the EU shoved down our throat 8 years ago, and also prohibited us from a having a new census since many Government officials disputed it!? Normally, Albanians when there was only one party, they'd bring thousands of "votes" from Kosovo, except now, there were two parties who fought for the same fraudulent votes.

With all the fraud and casting thousands of 'ghost votes' Albanians are 18% of the vote. In reality, they are 15% of the total population, tops, and if you exclude all the illegals, less.

Bulgaria

Bulgarians don't seem to have problem with saying Pirin Macedonia. And why would they, we know it they know it. Rumen Satev of Bulgarian Economic Forum on a meeting with the Macedonian Economic Forum told his counterparts that in Pirin Macedonia (Blagoevgrad region) there are several billion Euros of investments. While Rumen doesn't have a problem with saying Pirin Macedonia in official meetings, he sure has problems with numbers. Slovenia as by far the most developed country in the Balkans can't brag about having billions of Euros investments in the whole country let alone Bulgaria having that in a specific region. All is forgiven, numbers are difficult. Imagine a Greek saying Aegean Macedonia?
