Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski opened Sunday a hockey rink and karting track in Skopje's Boris Trajkovski sports center.
"Fans
of hockey and figure skating today are getting a modern ice skating
rink, which will be available for use throughout the year. Schools for
hockey and figure skating, led by top coaches from Russia and Ukraine,
will be opened in an attempt to raise interest about these sports," said
Gruevski.
"Today, a new karting track is also being put into
use. I believe it is going to be an inspiration and challenge for all
sport fans," the premier stressed.
The Government has funded most
of the investment, which is worth 430.000 euros. "As a result of
Government's efforts, the Boris Trajkovski arena is turning into a
versatile sports center," he added.
