In yesterdays' press conference, the Macedonian president publicly stated that his biggest concern was the well being of his party, the SDSM.

This wasn't embarassing enough, he continued to say his party came as number one priority, as for the country, it can always take a back sit. We have noticed this, but always good he clarified.

Branko, you are president of a country, not of a political party!

Still upset from the huge loss the SDSM suffered on Election day (lost half of their parliament seats), the President took cheap shots (again) on Prime Minister Gruevski trying to put Macedonia in a weaker position during the negotiation process with Athens.

In Branko's mind, Macedonia should distance itself from the double formula, and not hold a referendum! Interestingly enough, that's Greece's position. His statements, once again raised eyebrows. The president goal is to unsettle Prime Minister Gruevski, derail him so he makes a 'wrong' move, which Crvenkovski can later use (in four years) to get his party as a majority, back to Parliament.

Kiro Gligorov, may not be aware,  that he is working against Macedonia. I apologize, I meant to say Branko Crvenkovski. After all, Kiro was his mentor, and they both spent the Macedonian referendum vote in 1991, in Athens. How patriotic, and original, didn't even vote for independence! They should both be presidents! This should be a joke, but it isn't, somehow they both were. Branko's term is up, and he'll be done as president. Maybe it's a good thing he is concerned with his Party, especially that he isn't doing anything good for the country.     //Gorazd V.
