It doesn't take a whole lot in Macedonia to make the news. And not just any news rather the Top story in the evening nightly news.

Recently, two toothless idiots in Kosovo wearing waterpolo hats burned a Macedonian flag. MINA ignored this for a simple reason: we can't report about everyone who isn't good in math. Yes, this includes the Macedonian kids in Prilep (spending 15 euros for a flag so you can burn it?). 

Besides, a flag burning incident during a non existent Kosovo football league match is simply not going to make it here.

The story on other Mak news portals and printed dailies was much different

The flag burning incident was "top" news in virtually every single Mak newsportal, daily paper and TV Station.

At first I thought Mak journalists were simply bored to death, until i spent several hours combing threw their dailies and realized our journalists have a combined IQ of 11.

Why?

After this "flag burning incident" which should have never made the news in the first place, Mak journalists wrote article after article talking about (this is how far they went) the 'security' situation in Macedonia and the region and whether this flag burning incident will cause a conflict!

Check for yourself any printed or online daily: Dnevnik, Kurir, Vecer, Utrinski and you will be 'shocked and awed' as the Americans would say. The above mentioned dailies have a total of 20+ articles of the flag burning incident and conducted 16 meangliness interviews on the security 'situation' because couple of kids decided to burn a flag!?!

But this is not an isolated event in our journalism. Who can forget a press conference in 2001 when A1 journalists asked the Mak police in Tetovo:

- When will you attack?  Can you provide a list of the names of our police? Will you attack at night, or during the day, how many people?

As expected, comedy show K-15 made a parody of the above mentioned press conference. I was a bit disappointed with K15, why make a parody of something that was hilarious in the first place! 

A1 TV were pioneers. They started the journalistic stupidity in 2001 which seemed to have infected most printed dailies and online Mak news portals.

Although, there are class acts in Macedonian journalism, sadly an overwhelming majority of our journalists lack common sense and put top news stories about Kim Kardashian, Flag burning, How to Shape up your B33bs (Ok, have to admit the last one was actually good 'news').

	stMyHMKSNNoS Well lets start off by saying that that first aneswr you got shows that amount of moronic ignorance out there in America today. They don't question the Fox News viewers intelligence because they are Fox News watchers but rather that the viewer doesn't follow in lock step with the point of view that they in person hold. This leads us into next question; it is not that the others are less "pro-American" as it may look, they are pushing an agenda/propaganda that they want you to judge instead. It make them upset when you reckon for yourself and don't drink the koolaid they are passing out. We live in a global the upper classes and there is no way out of that, they just want to be crowned kings & worshiped as vital public instead of just doing their job honestly. 	nema novinari kaj nas Yeah, must agree with this, the flag burning was such non news, still can't believe the time spent and the importance given to that BS.  What's next going to be, a 2nd grader writes hateful word in his notepad, lets talk about that for a week. Guest

	nema novinari kaj nas "Journalists" are the "7th power" .... so they are able even to cause wars just so they can write as a show.    For A1 journalists no words - they are the bottom of all journalists although there are too many relatives spread out. Besides, real journalists are not even a minority.  A1 journalist were making debates for the name of the country in which they live and were angry to the government for not revealing the foreign politics of the country, how can someone be so stupid or so bribed is the question ?   Great article Guest

	kakvi novinari kaj nas? Gorazd, 100% si vo pravo.  Jas isto se chudev kakvi se gluposti kaj nas se prikazuvaat kako "vesti".    Vo Makedonija nema novinari, barem ne vistinski novinari (osven onie shto moze da gi izbroish na edna raka).  99.9% od nashite novinari se samo za "gossip", trachevi i chisti gluposti shto nemaat vrska.  Nema nikogash da najdesh nekoj da napishe neshto za Ekonomija, firmi, biznisi... vprochem, mnogu vesnici vo MKD pozajmuvaat artikli od vas.  Guest

	od Skopje There was a reason students took a class called "Logic" in the past.  They cancelled it after 1998. Big mistake!   A1 journalists never took that class. Guest
