The Prilep Court rejected the motion for postponement of the prison
sentence, which was filed by Dimitar Bogdan, former head of tobacco
company Tutunski Kombinat Prilep. He has to report to the prison in
Idrizovo on December 30.
He was convicted to five years in prison for tax fraud. He filed the
motion for postponement on the basis of healthcare problems, the Prilep
Court informed. On November 29, the court received written report from
the hospital that the health of Dimitar Bogdan was satisfying and that
he can be imprisoned, said judge Ljube Trajceski. The court also
rejected similar requests of other former heads of the company Ilija
Nuneski and Toni Micajkov. Tutunski Kombinat Prilep is the oldest tobacco company in the region, founded in 1873.
