Japanese Media Panics After Barcelona Star Appears
Monday, 19 December 2011
Hilarious 'incident' unfolded in a makeshift Japanese studio after Barcelona beat Santos 4-0 for the World Club crown. Right after the match, Lionel Messi appeared holding a huge Toyota key (he got a car as MVP of the match).
Japanese sports journalists were completely lost and confused after seeing the Barca star. Suffering an apparent 'star struck' syndrom, they all started speaking Japanese at the same time not knowing what to do next.
Messi remained cool and composed, probably wondering what in the world is going on. After the euphoria came down a notch Messi said what he intended to say and left.
The Japanese journalists continued to talk like giddy teenagers even after Messi's departure. Needless to say, Japanese media doesn't get a chance to see a football star very often.
