Wednesday, 21 December 2011

Nothing has gone right for the Macedonian national football team, and the latest FIFA ranking showed that. The red and yellow will wrap up 2011 ranked 103, their worst ever ranking since entering FIFA.

With no changes in points, Macedonia remained on 333 points, ranked 103, right above Iceland with 325, but below Togo with 350 pts.

Bahrain, Vietnam, Kuwait, Zimbabwe, Niger, Botswana, Malawi are all nations that are ranked higher than Macedonia.

Behind us we left countries such as Mozambique, Rwanda and Bermuda, a tiny island of 58,000 people whose football players work day jobs.

From our region, Croatia remains ranked in the top 10, currently sitting in the 8th spot.

The first three spot in the world are booked by European nations: Spain, Holland and Germany. Fourth is Uruguay, followed by Brazil, Portugal, Croatia, Italy and Argentina rounding up the top 10.
