This evening, a 5km long queue of trucks and cars are stuck on regional highway Veles - Sveti Nikole.

Strong winds are dumping large quantities of snow onto the highways, thus traffic movement is at a standstill. 

Workers from "Macedonian Highways" are on the scene and working to clear up the snow from the roads however, their effort is hampered by freezing temperatures and icy roads.

Delays are registered also on regional highway Negotino - Shtip, near the Serta mountain passage where numerous vehicles are reported to have lost control and are stuck in banks of snow near the highway.
