Macedonia's health Authorities urge vaccination against mumps PDF Print E-mail

Macedonian Health Ministry sent an appeal to the parents of children aged 13 months to 14 years, to take them to the healthcare facilities for mumps vaccination. 

The appeal refers to children that have not been inoculated or have not completed the vaccination cycle, says the announcement of the Health Ministry.

The contagious mumps is a disease transferable through the air or close contact with infected.
The incubation period is 2 to 3 weeks, and the symptoms include swelled and sore saliva glands, accompanied by fever and languor.
