Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Phillip Reeker celebrated with Macedonian handball players in Nish.

Reeker, who speaks excellent Macedonian was the US Ambassador to Macedonia from 2008-2011.

Perhaps surprising for Macedonian fans to see the former US Ambassador in Nish Cair Arena wearing a Macedonian jersey and cheering on the red and yellow.

The match against the Czech Republic was make it or break it for both teams. A win for the Czech's would have given them the first place in the group, while a win for the red and yellow meant second place and continuing the tournament.

Reeker celebrated Macedonia's win with fans and the players, of course singing "Izlezi Momce". We have said it before, we'll say it again, Phillip Reeker is one cool dude.
