British
companies have lately become increasingly interested to invest in the
Republic of Macedonia. This means they recognize and acknowledge the
comprehensive reform efforts, said President Gjorge Ivanov at Sunday's
reception for the British business delegation led by Prince Michael of
Kent.
According to Ivanov, this is confirmed by company
"Johnson Matthey", which has built in Macedonia its largest factory for
catalysts in Europe.
"As a result, the United Kingdom is among Macedonia's top ten trading partners", he added.
Ivanov wished more such British successful investments, not only in industry, but also in agriculture, tourism and services.
"I believe that one of Macedonia's biggest gems is
the young and educated workforce, which represents an excellent
opportunity for outsourcing", he said while voicing belief the visit
would give fresh impetus to bilateral cooperation.
Ivanov also expressed gratitude for the principled
use of Macedonia's constitutional name in the bilateral communication
with the UK.
"I an convinced this support will continue in the
future, intensifying in light of the NATO summit in Chicago", underlined
President Ivanov.
