NATO signs three invitations
Thursday, 06 March 2008
Image NATO foreign ministers signed three sets of accession documents for the Adriatic trio, without their names on them. So far the Greek propaganda machinery has managed to influence only the Greek population.

The documents are to be ready to hand out invitations at the April summit in Bucharest, Reuters reported, citing diplomatic sources.

The ministers started Thursday's session with the signing of the documents, the news agency states. Foreign ministers of Germany and Slovenia stated support for Macedonia ahead of the meeting.

"I would like all three countries to join," German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said. But he warned that the invitation for Macedonia depends whether Macedonia and Greece would come closer to solving the name issue.

Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn said: "There are no problems for the Balkans, apart from the problem with Greece and Macedonia."
