109 year old article from the NY Times found by film director Milco Mancevski while doing research for his films clearly showcases the plans of the Greek Government when it came to Macedonia, in particularly Aegean Macedonia. The NY Times claims it was Greek Government officials who betrayed the Macedonians by informing the Ottoman empire an uprising was planned in Aegean Macedonia. According to the NY Times the plan for Athens supported by official Paris was to cause the most damage to the Macedonians during their uprising by informing the Turkish Sultan before hand, at the same time explore opportunities for Greece to expand their territory towards Aegean Macedonia, which essentially happened during the Balkan Wars in 1913.
Mancevski said this article and others from the NY Times would be donated to museums.
