UEFA in a 'too little too late' move announced which referees will not be running out on the pitch for the ever so important elimination games coming up on Thursday as part of the Euro 2012 Finals.

Viktor Kassai who was considered one of the best refs in the world had a horrific blunder during England v Ukraine match when he didn't signal an obvious goal for the Ukrainians thus directly bearing responsibility for Ukraine not moving onto the quarters.

Not surprisingly, UEFA removed the Hungarian.

Germany's Wolfgang Stark had almost equally bad day while he was in charge of the Croatia v Spain match. In it, the Croatians suffered from Stark's biased decision making, particularly the non calls, including two obvious penalties. Because of this Stark too is packing his bags and heading home earlier than usual.

UEFA was not too pleased with Spaniard Carlos Velasco and Dutch ref Bjorn Kuiper. Both are heading home.
