How the match went between Germany and Greece PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 23 June 2012

The political wrangling between the two nations spilled over on the football pitch. Judging by the play, the Germans had more than an easy outing, kicing Greece out of the Euro-zone 2012.

Merkel who was present at the stadium, was the favorite target for Greek fans who frequently booed her every time the stadium cameras showed her on the jumbo screen.

However, on the field different story. If it wasn't for the often sloppy play by the Germans, Greece could have ended the match much, much worse than the official 4-2.

The caricature above very much portrays the relationship between Germany and Greece on and off the field.

Nice caricature, and yes, it does apply off the field.

But Merkel is on her way out, grease has actually ruined her chances of being PM. Her party was soundly defeated in local elections.

The new PM will not be sending money...

inferior somewhat
How did Greece get to the 1/4 final I will never know. Ah yes, the confused Russians who couldn't score.

Grease played in strange fashion... as if they felt inferior...
