Belgian
bus manufacturer Van Hool is due to launch its investment in Macedonia.
Premier Nikola Gruevski said Sunday that the construction of company's
plant would start by the end of next week. "It will open 400 new jobs
and is expected to increase Macedonia's export by 100 million euros."
"Macedonia will once again become a major bus
exporter. The first 500 manufactured buses will be intended for the US
market and they will be products of Macedonia,"
Gruevski stated.
According to him, it is beneficial that Macedonia has
a tradition in bus production. "The Belgian company will be able to
hire qualified staff and at the same time, the new investment is an
opportunity for many young university graduates," he stressed.
On Saturday, PM Gruevski announced that the German
automotive corporation, Draxlmaier Group and the government will sign an
agreement on Monday for the construction of a plant, where 4.000 people
are expected to be employed.
