A new Bible translation has revised ancient Koine and Hebrew texts so they now sound more colloquial and easy to understand. The screenplay version has been created for those “looking for a Bible that is relevant to their life today.”

­A team of translators, poets, writers and musicians has worked on "The Voice" which was released earlier this year.

The creators promise, readers will “enter into the story of Scripture more deeply, and discover that they can actually hear God's voice speaking into their life today.”

"Adam (pointing at the woman): It was she! The woman you gave me as a companion put the fruit in my hands, and I ate it.

"God (to the woman): What have you done?

"Eve: It was the serpent! He tricked me, and I ate."

Later, Eve bears her first son, Cain.

"Eve (excited): Look, I have created a new human, a male child, with the help of the Eternal."

The Voice apparently inserts some “extra” words and phrases into the text to better explain certain scenes. These words are put in italics so the reader knows when the additions are used.

According to the Center for Bible Engagement, 34% of Christians never read their Bible, while 32% read it very rarely. Given The Voice reads like a novel, it’s hoped it could reanimate readers’ interest in the Bible.
