Gruevski: The idea is Joint Embassies not Joint Diplomacy
Sunday, 05 January 2014

Pertaining to the idea of sharing a diplomatic building-embassy with another country for the purpose of savings, Gruevski said the Foreign Minister has communicated over the issue with counterparts from Serbia, Turkey, Slovenia, Montenegro and Croatia. "The idea is not joint diplomacy. There is no politics behind this, only cutting costs and nothing more", Gruevski explained Sunday to the reporters.

Our diplomatic missions, he added, would act separately, but for the purpose of rent savings, the idea is that we give room to diplomatic representatives of other countries in larger premises and vice versa.

"Thus, Macedonia could have diplomatic offices in countries where it is not currently represented", stressed PM Gruevski.
