Tomi Stefanovski ends swimming career by winning Ohrid Marathon

Macedonian marathon swimmer Tomi Stefanovski won the 30th Ohrid Swimming marathon. He swam across the 30km line from Klime Savin to St. Naum in 5:55:18:97 hrs. 



To win in my last swimming marathon race is just incredible. This is one of the best moments in my swimming career. I'm particularly happy that I won the Ohrid marathon not only because of the world reputation it has, but this is my favorite marathon race - said Stefanovski after he was congratulated by president Ivanov at the finish line. 


Second place went to Eduardo Stokine of Italy, while third was Matheus Evangelista of Brazil. 




The first place in the women section went to Ukraine's Olga Kozidub who had an astounding swim team by keeping up with the leading men for the entirety of the race. She finished the race in 5:55:35:72 just 17 seconds behind Tomi Stefanovski. Second place went to Russia's Daria Kulic with time 5:58:23:25 hrs, while third was Czechia's Sylvie Rubarova who clocked at 6:04:35:50 hrs.
