Thursday, 15 September 2016

Serbia and the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) signed in Paris on Thursday a grant agreement that will see the country get 755,000 euros in assistance for refugees and migrants, Tanjug reports.

The agreement was signed at a meeting between Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic and CEB Governor Rolf Wenzel, the Serbian government said in a statement.

It is a continuation of the 2.5 million euro assistance already implemented by the CEB and also an announcement of further grants to the Serbian government for its future needs regarding both migrants and the local population.

Serbia will soon step up the implementation of a regional programme aimed at solving housing issues affecting refugees and internally displaced persons in Serbian territory, the statement also said.
