Macedonia beats Tunisia in crucial World Cup opening match

Macedonia opened the 2017 handball world championship hosted by France in dramatic fashion, beating Tunisia 34-30. 

The strong Tunisian team took a one goal lead at half time, however things settled down for Macedonia after the 45th minute in the second half when it practically took over the match. Prior to that moment the north Africans had a four goal lead, which sounded the alarm within the Macedonian team.

Lazarov scored 12 goals, with Stoilov and Dejan Manaskov adding 7 goals each. Among the Tunisians, Bannour and Boughanmi scored 7 goals each. 

On the 14th Macedonia plays Angola.
