Gruevski: SDS doesn't want a stable country

VMRO-DPMNE is always up for debate when it comes to national and state interests, but for the time being it doesn't depend on us, it depends mostly on SDSM, whose strategy obviously involves at any cost to produce crisis. The party's leadership believed it was the only way to come into power, Nikola Gruevski said Wednesday.

"It's clear as day that SDSM doesn't want any efforts to be made so as to stabilize the country. Their primary goal is to come to power at any cost that might be detrimental to state and national interests," the VMRO-DPMNE leader told reporters in Skopje.

I understand, he added, that SDSM has received 'an invoice', which is already pressuring the party. They also have to pay for 'an expensive rent'.

"However, for VMRO-DPMNE and for the people, it is unacceptable 'that rent' and 'that invoice' to be paid by the people and all of this to be a done deal detrimental to the people and to the country. That's why the people in great numbers and for so long have been resisting their attempts like never before," noted Gruevski.

According to him, VMRO-DPMNE on several occasions in the past few months has demonstrated willingness to find a solution through dialogue, including a roadmap for a way out of the crisis, a proposal for early parliamentary polls in parallel with local elections, as well as the party's manifest for stabilization in the country and to regulate relations between the political parties in the future.
