UBER OF PEE: On-demand mobile bathroom service hits NYC
Friday, 23 June 2017

Toilet paper company Charmin has been rolling an on-demand mobile bathroom called Charmin Van-GO around Manhattan as part of a two-day pilot program -- though whether the intent is to make the Uber-style bathroom service a regular option, we're not entirely sure.

Anthony Anderson of the TV series "Blackish" has been accompanying the van on its trips to Columbus Circle, Herald Square and Bryant Park. On Thursday, the van hit Lincoln Center from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., then Rockefeller Center from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and the High Line from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

To request the service, go to CharminVanGo.com and follow the simple directions to request the van.

"With just the touch of a few buttons, a totally private and super clean bathroom could be delivered directly to people in select New York City neighborhoods," the company said in a statement.

“At Charmin, we’re always looking to bring people the best bathroom experience, both at home with our tissue and in new and unexpected ways," said Janette Yauch, associate brand director for Charmin said in a statement. “With the Charmin Van-GO, we are providing one of the largest, most-trafficked cities in the world a new way to Enjoy the Go…on the go.”

Some of you may think this isn't very smart. That's because it isn't.
