Macedonian Minister of Transport and Communications Mile Janakieski and
his Albanian counterpart Sokol Olldashi signed Friday in Ohrid a
cooperation agreement in the field of postal and electronic
communications, as part of countries' European agenda.
- Under
the agreement, both countries are obliged to implement policies to
ensure and develop the postal and electronic services between Macedonia
and Albania in line with our own positive legal regulations and
European directives, said Minister Janakieski after signing the
agreement.
He added that the agreement would boost the bilateral
cooperation in terms of reviewing scientific and technical issues in
the field of postal and electronic communications, which might emerge
while implementing the agreement, for realisation of joint projects,
improvement of the coopperation between the national post offices,
facilitation of the transit and heightened security of post packages as
well as cooperation within mobile telephony, satellite system and
connection of optical lines.
Given the occasion, Albanian
Transport Minister Olldashi said the signed document was a huge step
forward in resuming the cooperation between the two ministries.
-
We also discussed other opportunities for cooperation in several joint
infrastructural projects, such as Pogradec - Ohrid shipping line,
Skopje - Debar - Tirana highway as well as involvement in the ongoing
project for construction of railroad line from Kicevo to the
Albanian border, stated Olldashi. //04.10.09 MiNa
