Earthquakes continue to shake Macedonia PDF Print E-mail

Earthquake measuring 3 to 4 according to European Macroseismic Scale shook again Valandovo region early Tuesday at 08:34h.

The earthquake's epicentre was 125 kilometres southeast of Skopje and was felt in Valandovo, Bogdanci and surrounding places.

The government at special session decided to give financial aid amounting to two month's average net-salaries to 80 most endangered families.

Deputy PM Zoran Stavreski at press conference said that government decided to form commission consisted of representatives of the government and competent institutions who will assess the damages of the quake at the terrain and stability of the house and will submit report at late by 15 days to the government.

He said that the teams of the Defence Ministry, Crisis Management Centre, Directorate for Protection and Rescue and municipalities helped the most endangered citizens providing them with tents, food and drinking water.
