Defense Minister Zoran Konjanovski, who is paying a visit to Israel, met Monday with counterpart Ehud Barak, reads Ministry press release.

Minister Konjanovski stressed that Macedonia is interested in further enhancement of cooperation in the defense sector, especially in several Israel-supported projects.

DM Konjanovski reiterated Macedonia's determination to join NATO and EU, as well as readiness for signing of a cooperation memorandum between the two ministries.

Interlocutors also referred to developments in the regions surrounding Macedonia and Israel.

Defense Minister Konjanovski is also scheduled to visit defense facilities and institutions, reads the press release.
