Monday, 02 November 2009

To date 47 persons in Macedonia have been registered as being infected with the H1N1 flu.

Three new cases have been registered for the last few days, involving persons that returned home from foreign countries, namely from the Netherlands, Serbia and Bulgaria.

All suspected cases have been monitored, Pandemic Flu Committee Chairperson Jovanka Kostovska said on Monday.

In the meantime, all primary, secondary schools have been under strict inspection in terms of correct application of sanitary measures against the disease.

The Committee does not recommend shutting down schools as no student has been infected thus far.
