Sylvia Velikova from the city of Shumen, Bulgaria received her entire May salary in the amount of 230 BGN (115 euros) in metal denomination.

Her salary was said to be around 18kg in weight and packed in six plastic bags,  for which she needed special transportation to take the money home.

Velikova believes that the reason for this degradation were the two controls she initiated at her company of six years, for which she had four years of maternity leave.

At the end of last year, Velikova received regular salary in paper bills, and when the money stopped, she asked for assistance from investigators from the State Pension Insurance and labor inspection. Investigators determined that the firm where she worked took money illegally on behalf of her maternity leave.

The company has been asked to return 3100 leva (1550 Euro).
