Police action against the mafia in eastern Macedonia continues. Stunning number of gambling machines have thus far being confiscated...318!
The machines themselves are worth millions of euros, while the MoI puts the earning power of these machines at 2m euros per month. The previous estimate was 100,000 euros/month, with police believing there were around 50 or so of these machines, only to find many, many more.
None of these machines had received a license to operate which means all the cash that came in was not reported.
Kriva Palanka and Kocani had the majority of these machines on its territory.
