Shoes which reporter Muntafar al-Zaidi threw at US President George W. Bush, became a bidding object throughout the Arab world.

BBC says that that according to unconfirmed writings, former coach of the Iraqi national football team, Adnan Hamad, has offered US$ 100,000 for the pair, while an unnamed citizen of Saudi Arabia offered the shoes at $ 10 million!

Aicha, daughter of Lybian leader Muammar Gaddafi, said her humanitarian association would present the reporter with a medal for courage, commenting that his act represented 'a victory of human rights'.

Her humanitarian association invited the media to support Zaidi and pressure the Iraqi government to release the reporter as soon as possible.
